MODULAR Truss End Upgrade

Artec Industries is excited to announce the NEW Modular Truss Ends. This product is designed to complement our Modular and Short Trusses enabling them to GROW UP and be full width trusses. Simply trim the end of this product to match the contours of ANY short style truss and you have a full width truss at hand. The design is borrowed from our NEW Low Profile Front Trusses and gives you a more compact truss that doesn't get in the way of other vehicle components. The 3/8" thick truss top and 1/4" thick gussets incorporate a unique design to strengthen the axle and provide a link mounting surface or bumpstop pad.

Use a long Modular Truss End with a 14 bolt short truss and make a 14 bolt front axle. Or use two Modular Truss Ends on a rear axle with a Modular or Short Truss and you'll have a low profile rear truss which has more clearance for frame rails than a normal rear truss and gives you a flat surface for bumpstops to hit.

Overall length on the modular truss end is 20.73"

NOTE: If you are also purchasing one of our 4-link kits with this truss, CHOOSE NONE for the Lower axle link brackets and Truss upper link mounts. Those parts are included in our 4-link kits

NOTE: Leaf spring option is for standard YJ width but is for spring over axle (SOA), not spring under (SUA). The kit does not include u-bolts. Coil spring option is for stock REAR TJ coils (the wider ones) not TJ front coils. Other spring options will be available soon

NOTE: The axle above in an 8.8-Inch from a 1995+ Ford Explorer. You can quickly identify it as an Explorer axle due to its rear disk brakes and the spring perches mounted below the axle tube instead of on the top. When swapping an Explorer 8.8-Inch axle in to a 4WD Ranger you need move the spring perches to the top of the axle tube

NOTE: Increasing from a 28-spline to a 31-spline axle allegedly increases strength of the axle shaft by 34%. However we prefer to go by the capacity ratings of the axle assemblies provided by the manufacturer. Ford Rates the Ranger axle at 2750lbs and the Explorer axle at 3200lbs this is a 16% increase in strength, which admittedly may be as conservative as the estimate of axle strength. The Important thing about the Explorer axle assembly (besides its 31-spline shafts) is that its axles are larger in diameter at the outer bearing journal AND the larger diameter bearings used
